The 1200V blocking voltage module is suitable for applications such as drives, solar inverters, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), while the 1700V blocking voltage module is suitable for medium-voltage drives. The 1200V blocking voltage 62mm module provides a maximum rated current of 600A. At 1700V blocking voltage, the maximum rated current is 500A. Since this package utilizes an industry-standard size base plate, it can be easily integrated into existing designs and, for example, can provide 20 percent higher output power when adopted in drives.


Two versions of the new power module product offer a “common emitter” configuration, allowing for the configuration of a 3-level topology (T-type, NPC2). Therefore, it can be used efficiently in applications with high power requirements, such as solar power or UPS.

The new 62mm power module products are also available in versions with thermal interface material (TIM). Infineon also offers 34mm and 50mm packages of thyristor diode modules with solder bonding technology for input rectifiers.
