Samsung Electronics, Asiana Airlines, and SK Telecom Launch 'Galaxy S8 Asiana Phone' as a Tripartite Joint Venture
Published2017.04.10 12:19The 'Galaxy S8 Asiana Phone' is the successor to the 'Galaxy S7 Asiana Phone,' the first collaborative project between a smartphone manufacturer, an airline, and a mobile carrier conducted last year. Pre-orders are available from the 7th to the 17th of this month on the Asiana Airlines website, under the condition that 30,000 Asiana Airlines miles are deducted to receive a discount on the device price, with the remaining balance paid separately. Pre-ordered products can be activated from the 18th to the 24th.
The 'Galaxy S8 Asiana Phone,' completed with Samsung Electronics' proprietary enterprise-tailored solution 'Knox Customization,' features an Asiana Airlines design theme on the startup, shutdown, and home screens. It also maximizes convenience for Asiana Airlines customers by pre-installing the Asiana Airlines application, which enables flight inquiries, bookings, and check-in.
"The 'Galaxy S8 Asiana Phone' holds even greater significance in that the three leading companies in the industry have joined forces to conduct a consecutive joint promotion following the 'Galaxy S7 Asiana Phone'," a Samsung Electronics official stated. "We plan to present a new trend in the mobile market by providing differentiated, customized services based on specific platforms to customers in various industries, such as aviation and finance."
