Automatically set security level based on access system information

KT announced that it has developed an 'intelligent convergence security solution' that combines 'enterprise-only LTE' and 'space-specific security control' technologies in cooperation with KT Telecop.

The 'Intelligent Convergence Security Solution' is an integrated security technology that combines 'corporate LTE' for employees' secure access to the corporate network, and 'space-specific security control' that allows for selective application of functions such as mobile phone call restriction and camera shooting and recording blocking according to security area.

While the previously released 'Enterprise LTE' service by KT recognized whether or not a user had entered a secure area based on location information, the newly developed 'Intelligent Convergence Security Solution' automatically sets the security level based on KT Telecop's access system information, enabling a more stable and accurate security service.

Furthermore, until now, corporate access, network, device, and call security were each applied separately, making integrated control impossible. However, with the newly developed 'Intelligent Convergence Security Solution' applied, comprehensive control of corporate networks, mobile devices, and calls will be possible according to the security level of each corporate space. Additionally, corporate security managers can further strengthen corporate security by monitoring employee access status, corporate network access history, data traffic usage, and a list of available applications all at once.

KT plans to launch this technology as an additional service for its 'Corporate LTE' product in the future after discussing commercialization with KT Telecop.

“KT has developed a new security solution that combines access security and communication security based on the mutual strengths of its group companies,” said Jeon Hong-beom, head of the Infra Research Lab at KT Convergence Technology Institute. “We will continue to lead the corporate security market in research labs, factories, data centers, airports, and ports, where security is strictly managed, through cooperation between group companies.”
