Accelerating the Target for Mobile Video Conferencing for SMEs by Strengthening Solutions
Radvision (Country Manager Lee Min-woo, www.radvision.co.kr ), a specialist in integrated visual communications,
Scopia announced that it has launched the 'Scopia Elite MCU 5105,' a Multipoint Conferencing Unit (MCU) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and is strengthening its efforts to target the mobile video conferencing market for SMEs.

The 'Scopia Elite MCU 5105' is an MCU optimized for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small departments or branches of large corporations. It is a solution that supports high-quality voice, video, and data sharing, as well as HD 5-character or SD 20-character support. Radvision plans to provide solutions optimized for SMEs in addition to its existing SME solution, the Scopia XT1000 SMB.

For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to set up mobile video conferencing, the mandatory installation of expensive MCUs poses a significant financial burden, and the complex installation, management, and usage methods have acted as major barriers.
Radvision's small and medium-sized business solutions address both of these issues, providing more cost-effective and easy-to-manage video communication solutions at a price 4 to 5 times lower than competitors. In addition, it is possible to switch between SD and HD quality depending on the specifications of existing video conferencing products, minimizing the burden of additional costs.
Through this, small and medium-sized enterprises or small departments within large corporations can establish or expand high-quality mobile video conferencing without incurring costs, and maximize work efficiency by easily using smartphones and tablet PCs anytime and anywhere.
Lee Min-woo, General Manager of Radvision, stated, “Radvision understands the characteristics of both large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), so we are making every effort to provide solutions optimized for SMEs. The Scopia Elite MCU 5105 is one of the results of those efforts.” He added, “In addition to targeting the SME market, we will also actively pursue the remote market, which requires video applications such as distance education and telemedicine.”
