We will secure a global cooperation framework for the GigaSecure platform and discover platform business models.

KT announced that it will participate in 'RSA (Conference Asia Pacific & Japan 2017)', held in Singapore from the 26th to the 28th, to seek entry into the global market for its information security business.

RSA is the world's largest security exhibition, and major global security companies targeting the Asian region participate in the Singapore conference. At this conference, KT will introduce its GiGA secure platform, the foundation of its information security services, and various solutions developed with its own technology.

The GigaSecure platform is a security platform that provides differentiated services through big data collection and intelligent analysis based on KT's network security know-how. It is designed to secure threat intelligence by analyzing information collected from various security devices owned by KT using intelligent and automated technologies.

The differentiating features of the GigaSecure platform include ▲ integration of individual security services and End-to-End security implementation, ▲ provision of flexible and cost-effective customized security services, and ▲ fast and intelligent detection and response.

KT plans to strengthen its platform-based security business by linking various security solutions, as well as solutions developed with its own technology, with the GigaSecure platform, and to dramatically improve the level of all security services provided by KT.

In addition, we introduce GiGA secure wizstick, which supports secure internet access and fingerprint authentication, and GiGA secure wizNAC, which does not require a separate NAC (network access control) control server probe. GigaSecure Wiznac passed the Common Criteria last June and obtained CC certification from the IT Security Certification Office.

Song Jae-ho, Head of KT’s Integrated Security Business Unit, said, “While the transformation of the security business into a platform business is a universal trend, a telecommunications operator entering the platform security business sector is leading the market globally,” adding, “Based on the differentiation of telecommunications operators, we will secure a global cooperation framework for the GigaSecure platform and explore the discovery of platform business models.”
