KT Opens Hologram Theater in Songdo

KT opened a hologram theater called 'K-live Songdo' that applied realistic media technology at the Songdo complex shopping mall 'Triple Street'.
Songdo's 'Triple Street' mall features ▲K-live, a hologram theater that uses KT's holographic technology, and ▲Korea's largest 'media tunnel' with a total length of 30 meters and LED panels.
'K-live Songdo' is the fourth hologram-only theater following the world's first hologram-only theater 'K-live' in Dongdaemun, Seoul in 2014, Singapore Sentosa (K-live Sentosa) in 2016, and Gwangju Media Art Platform in March 2017.
'K-live Songdo' will screen K-pop hologram performances by singers from YG Entertainment (Psy, Big Bang, G-Dragon) and JYP Entertainment (2PM, Wonder Girls, GOT7), as well as the children's hologram musical 'Maple Story' and the educational media art show 'Science Show the Space'.
The 'Media Tunnel' created a realistic media environment with a total length of 30 meters by constructing a corridor between buildings with LED panels. By applying various themed video graphics to allow customers to feel the natural atmosphere of forests, space, etc. in the middle of the city, we provide customers visiting the shopping mall with a variety of things to see and enjoy.
KT Future Business Development Division Director Koh Yoon-jeon said, “Following the opening of ‘K-live Songdo’ in the ‘Triple Street’ mall, we plan to additionally release new K-pop hologram content in September and will continue to develop and provide content that incorporates realistic media technology.” He also said, “We will continue to incorporate KT’s innovative technologies in the field of realistic media based on convergence ICT technology into large-scale complex cultural spaces to lead future technologies and expand KT’s unique next-generation media technology into various businesses.”

KT는 한국인터넷진흥원(KISA)으로부터 국내 최초로 홈 IoT 단말 3종(기가 IoT 에어닥터/플러그/멀티탭)에 대한 ‘홈 가전 분야 IoT 보안시험 성적서’를 발급받았다고 26일 밝혔다. 경기도 성남시 판교에 위치한 KISA 스타트업 캠퍼스에서 진행된 보안시험 성적서 수여식에는 KT SCM전략실 김창유 상무를 비롯해 KT 협력사인 이노피아테크(기가 IoT 에어닥터), 다원디엔에스(기가 IoT 플러그, 기가 IoT 멀티탭)의 관계자들이 참석해 ‘홈 가전 분야 IoT 보안 시험 성적서’를 발급받았다.

KT to Foster '5 Major Platforms' Together with SMEs and Ventures
KT는 기술 및 영업 비밀보호 지원, 연구개발 테스트 환경 제공, 경영 전반 컨설팅 등을 중심으로 중소 협력사, 벤처/스타트업의 경쟁력 제고 방안을 시행한다고 밝혔다. 이와 함께 자금 조달에 어려움을 겪고 있는 중소/협력업체를 위해 1,000억원 규모의 ‘상생협력펀드’를 조성한다. 이번 방안은 5대 플랫폼 육성에 그룹사뿐 아니라 중소 협력사와 벤처기업의 참여 기회를 확대하기 위해 마련했다. 5대 플랫폼 육성에는 KT뿐 아니라 BC카드, 스카이라이프, KTH 등 관련 분야에서 역량을 가진 그룹사와 국내 1호 인터넷전문은행 케이뱅크까지 함께한다.

European Patent Applications Surpass 200,000 for the First Time… South Korea Maintains 5th Place, Led by Batteries and Telecommunications
유럽특허청(EPO)의 ‘기술 대시보드 2025’에 따르면 지난해 유럽 특허 출원은 20만1974건으로 처음 20만건을 넘었다. 한국 기업과 발명가의 출원은 1만4355건으로 전년보다 9.5% 증가해 국가별 5위를 유지했다. 배터리와 디지털 통신, 반도체가 증가세를 이끌었고, 삼성은 2년 연속 EPO 최대 출원 기업, LG는 3위에 올랐다. 서울·수원·용인 등 국내 주요 도시의 존재감도 확인됐다. 한국의 유럽 특허 전략이 개별 기술을 넘어 산업 전반으로 확장되고 있다는 점도 드러났다.

SK Telecom First Applies AI-Based Network Operations at Gwanghwamun K-Pop Concert
SK텔레콤이 3월 21일 서울 광화문 일대에서 열린 대형 K-팝 공연에 AI 기반 네트워크 운영 시스템을 처음 적용해 통신 품질을 관리했다고 밝혔다. 공연 전후 3시간 동안 모바일 데이터 사용량은 12.15TB로 직전 주말 같은 시간대보다 약 2배 늘었다. SK텔레콤은 AI 시스템 ‘A-One’을 활용해 5분 단위, 50m 단위로 트래픽을 감시하며 과부하 가능성에 대응했고, 임시 통신 시설과 현장 인력 운영도 병행했다. 밀집 행사와 외국인 이용 수요가 동시에 늘어나는 환경에서 AI 기반 자율 네트워크 운영의 현장 적용 가능성을 확인한 사례로 해석된다.
