Jointly carrying out the SaaS conversion of international sports solutions

KT DS, an IT service specialist of the KT Group, announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ssangyong Information & Communications to cooperate on the construction and operation of IT systems for the '2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games'.

The memorandum of understanding includes an agreement to support the IT system construction and operation project for the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games currently being carried out by Ssangyong Information & Communications with KT DS’s cloud and infrastructure technologies, and furthermore, to jointly carry out the work of converting international sports solutions into SaaS (Software as a Service).

To this end, the two companies will form a dedicated task force and utilize cloud-based solutions to identify potential sales opportunities in the field of international sports IT services and to concretize business cooperation models.

Through collaboration with Ssangyong Information & Communications, KT DS plans to lead the development of the domestic IT industry by discovering new convergence services and businesses based on OBICs (Open Source, Big Data, Cloud, IoT, Information Security), the nation's top-tier software convergence foundational technologies, and expanding into the global market.
