Samsung Electronics Unveils Wind-Free Air Conditioner at AHR Expo

Samsung Electronics will showcase its wind-free air conditioners and air conditioning solutions at the 'AHR Expo', including home wall-mounted and 1-way/4-way cassette-type (ceiling-mounted indoor units).
Windless cooling is characterized by lowering the temperature with fast and strong wind at the beginning of operation, and when the user's desired temperature is reached, it maintains the appropriate temperature by evenly sending out gentle cold air through micro holes instead of direct wind.
Samsung Electronics' 'Wind-Free Air Conditioner' lineup offers solutions for not only general homes but also commercial spaces, with energy savings of up to 72% for wall-mounted models and up to 55% for 1-way and 4-way cassette models compared to general cooling operation through the application of digital inverter compressors and wind-free cooling.
The first-ever wind-free 4-way cassette has blades that are up to 31% larger than existing products, a 10° wider swing angle, and can deliver air up to 5m, which is twice as far as existing products, allowing for even and fast cooling of large spaces.
Additionally, this product is equipped with a motion detection sensor (MDS) that detects the location of a person and automatically adjusts the wind direction. When there is no person, it switches to wind-free cooling or stops operation, enabling efficient use of energy.

Samsung Electronics will also operate a 'Wind-Free Experience Zone' within its exhibition booth so that visitors can experience the comfort of wind-free cooling firsthand.
Samsung Electronics will also showcase regionally optimized products for extreme cold. The Max Heat Series, comprised of wall-mounted and multi-type units for home use, as well as general commercial and large commercial multi-type units (DVM), delivers 100% heating performance even in areas as cold as -15°C.
In particular, large commercial multi-products are highly popular with customers as they provide 100% heating performance even at -25℃.
Samsung Electronics Home Appliances Division Managing Director Lee Jae-hwan said, “We will further strengthen our position in the North American air conditioning market by building a full lineup of ‘wind-free air conditioners’ that provide comfortable cooling without direct wind.”

Samsung Electronics Usheres in a New Era with Highest Speed 'GDDR6 Graphics DRAM'
Samsung Electronics has begun mass production of the world's fastest '16Gb GDDR6 (Graphics Double Data Rate 6) DRAM,' opening a full-fledged era of GDDR6 graphics DRAM. Samsung Electronics, which first began mass production of the '20nm 8Gb GDDR5 DRAM' at 8Gbps in December 2014, has once again increased speed and capacity by more than two-fold, with the '10nm-class 16Gb GDDR6 DRAM' operating at 18Gbps now in mass production since last month as the industry's first, leading growth in the premium graphics DRAM market.
