KT sets out to capture women's hearts with 'MYOMEE'

KT announced that it is holding the 'Half-Price Choice: 2539 Women's Special Exhibition,' offering popular products from Lotte Rental's lifestyle rental platform 'MYOMEE' at affordable prices.
'KT Half-Price Choice' is a program linked with home appliances that allows customers to purchase products such as TVs and laptops at a discounted price when signing up for KT Internet and IPTV.
In the 'Half-Price Choice: 2539 Women's Special Exhibition,' the lineup has been expanded to include home appliances and lifestyle products through a partnership with Lotte Rental's 'Myomi.' This exhibition features a total of 18 parenting and beauty products, such as LG Prael masks and strollers, which are highly preferred by women aged 25 to 39 (the 2539 generation) who are sensitive to trends and respect themselves as well as their families.
In addition, customers who purchase premium strollers or car seats from the special exhibition will also receive a cleaning 'care service voucher' worth 60,000 won.
This special exhibition is scheduled to run until May of this year, and the products on display can be experienced firsthand at nine KT dealerships in the metropolitan area, including Seoul and Incheon, during March. All customers who sign up on the 'Myomi' website and participate in this special promotion will receive a 'Myomi' 10,000 won discount coupon.
Won Seong-un, Senior Vice President of KT’s Internet Business Division, stated, “We prepared this special promotion to provide the benefits that female customers aged 25-39 using KT truly need,” adding, “KT will continue to strive to provide various benefits to our customers.”

KT Expands European Market by Supplying VR Platform to Switzerland
KT는 ‘MWC(Mobile World Congress) 2018’에서 스위스 VR 사업자 ‘SecondWorld’(세컨드월드)에 플랫폼 및 콘텐츠를 공급한다. KT는 세컨드월드에 ‘VR 플랫폼’과 ‘VR 어트렉션’ 2종을 제공하기로 합의했으며 이후 함께 유럽 내 시장을 확대할 예정이다. KT의 VR 플랫폼은 사업자가 원하는 콘텐츠를 쉽게 네트워크를 통해 제공받고 정산/운영/관리까지 가능한 VR/AR 통합 플랫폼이다. KT 미래사업개발단 고윤전 단장은 “산업 생태계를 활성화를 위해 국내/외 다양한 사업자와 협력해 VR 시장을 확대해 나갈 예정이며 이를 통해 국내 콘텐츠 사업자가 글로벌 경쟁력을 가질 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

SKT Wins "Enterprise Mobile Service Innovation Award," the Telecom Industry's Oscar
SK Telecom announced that its 'LiveCare' service won the 'Enterprise Mobile Service Innovation Award' at the MWC 2018 GSMA Global Mobile Awards. This category honors companies that showcase services and products capable of contributing to enterprise productivity improvements in areas such as data management, service innovation, and security. 'LiveCare' is an IoT livestock management system developed through collaboration between SK Telecom and Youlike Korea, enabling farm owners to monitor cattle conditions in real-time. The service deploys a biocapsule equipped with an IoT communication module in the first stomach (rumen) of cattle to check body temperature and pH levels, thereby providing various information including disease and calving sign detection and optimal breeding timing prediction.

European Patent Applications Surpass 200,000 for the First Time… South Korea Maintains 5th Place, Led by Batteries and Telecommunications
According to the European Patent Office (EPO)'s 'Technology Dashboard 2025', European patent applications last year reached 201,974, surpassing 200,000 for the first time. Korean companies and inventors filed 14,355 applications, representing a 9.5% increase from the previous year and maintaining 5th place by country. Battery, digital communication, and semiconductor technologies led the growth, with Samsung ranking as the top EPO applicant for the second consecutive year and LG reaching 3rd place. The presence of major domestic cities such as Seoul, Suwon, and Yongin was also confirmed. It was also revealed that Korea's European patent strategy is expanding beyond individual technologies to span the entire industry.

SK Telecom First Applies AI-Based Network Operations at Gwanghwamun K-Pop Concert
SK텔레콤이 3월 21일 서울 광화문 일대에서 열린 대형 K-팝 공연에 AI 기반 네트워크 운영 시스템을 처음 적용해 통신 품질을 관리했다고 밝혔다. 공연 전후 3시간 동안 모바일 데이터 사용량은 12.15TB로 직전 주말 같은 시간대보다 약 2배 늘었다. SK텔레콤은 AI 시스템 ‘A-One’을 활용해 5분 단위, 50m 단위로 트래픽을 감시하며 과부하 가능성에 대응했고, 임시 통신 시설과 현장 인력 운영도 병행했다. 밀집 행사와 외국인 이용 수요가 동시에 늘어나는 환경에서 AI 기반 자율 네트워크 운영의 현장 적용 가능성을 확인한 사례로 해석된다.
