KT has launched an integrated information security monitoring service, "GiGA secure Security Monitoring" (hereinafter "GiGA secure Security Monitoring"), for small and medium-sized enterprises that have difficulty securing security specialists.

GigaSecure Security Monitoring is a service in which KT's information security specialists operate and manage customer companies' security solutions, such as firewalls and IPS (Intrusion Prevention System), 24 hours a day at the 'Cyber Security Center (CSC)' located in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do.

KT introduced the SecureNet security monitoring service in 2004, and 'Giga Secure Security Monitoring' is a system that integrates firewalls, anti-DDOS, IPS, etc., which were previously provided separately until 2017, into a self-developed integrated monitoring platform.



GigaSecure security monitoring consists of two main products: LITE and PREMIUM. LITE provides equipment operation and management services, such as SMS failure notifications and monthly operation reports, while PREMIUM enables in-depth analysis and real-time failure judgment and intrusion response services, including threat detection on the GigaSecure platform, customer-specific event analysis, vulnerability diagnosis, and line status checks.

The biggest advantage of GigaSecure security monitoring is its intelligent analysis platform based on big data analysis. Based on KT's network monitoring and operation know-how, it is possible to assess the situation in real time and devise solutions regardless of the type of security intrusion. In addition, it features 24-hour monitoring by network specialists and maintenance personnel capable of immediate dispatch from across the country.

Song Jae-ho, Head of KT’s Integrated Security Business Unit, stated, “Security monitoring is a business that telecommunications operators with expertise in large-scale network monitoring can excel at,” adding, “Based on the GigaSecure platform, we will lead the market by not only responding quickly and accurately to hard-to-identify security threats like Zero-Day attacks but also by providing integrated monitoring of various attack targets, including CCTVs.”
