Samsung Electronics Unveils 'Galaxy A6' Series Featuring Infinity Display
Published2018.05.02 11:06Samsung Electronics has unveiled the 'Galaxy A6' and 'Galaxy A6+' featuring an Infinity Display design and will launch them sequentially in global markets starting in early May.
The 5.6-inch and 6.0-inch 'Galaxy A6' and 'Galaxy A6+' feature an 18.5:9 aspect ratio Infinity Display design that maximizes immersion and minimizes bezels, while providing an optimal grip that allows for comfortable one-handed use.
In particular, when using earphones or headphones, it supports 'Dolby Atmos,' a 3D surround sound technology, providing a whole new dimension of entertainment experience along with a large, crisp screen.
The Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ are equipped with 16-megapixel and 24-megapixel front cameras, respectively, featuring an F1.9 lens, and support a 'Selfie Flash' that uses display light as a light source and allows for 3 levels of brightness adjustment, enabling high-quality selfies to be taken anytime, anywhere.
The 'Galaxy A6+' is equipped with a dual camera on the back. Users can adjust the bokeh effect, which softens and blurs the background while viewing it directly, and change the shape of the light flares to various forms such as hearts and stars.
The Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ enhance user convenience by supporting the features and services provided by premium Galaxy smartphones.
In addition to unlocking the smartphone with 'face recognition,' it offers 'Bixby,' which provides useful information to the user in real time when the camera is pointed at a subject after selecting a mode such as text (translation and currency exchange), food, or makeup; 'App Pair,' which allows two frequently used applications to be launched at once; and 'Samsung Cloud,' which allows data and images to be backed up.

KT enables 3 hours and 49 minutes of additional usage with Galaxy S9 battery saving technology
KT는 LTE 전국망에 적용된 배터리 절감 기술(Connected mode Discontinuous Reception, 이하 C-DRX)을 최적화하고 스마트폰 사용시간을 최대 55%까지 늘렸다고 밝혔다. KT는 ICT 표준화 및 시험인증단체인 한국정보통신기술협회(TTA) 시험에서 삼성 프리미엄 스마트폰인 갤럭시S9 모델로 배터리 절감 효과를 테스트한 결과 데이터 이용시간이 최대 55% 증가한 것으로 확인됐다. 이에 따라 KT의 LTE 가입자이라면 별도의 단말 업그레이드 과정 없이 데이터 배터리 사용시간 증대 효과를 누릴 수 있게 됐다. 동일한 환경에서 동일 서비스(유튜브 동영상 스트리밍)를 지속 이용해 테스트한 결과 C-DRX를 적용하지 않은 갤럭시S9의 경우 최소 7시간, 최대 7시간 50분 지속된 반면, C-DRX를 적용한 갤럭시S9의 경우 최대 10시간 49분간 지속된 것으로 나타났다.
