삼성전자는 ‘갤럭시 S9’과 ‘S9+’ 출시에 맞춰 디즈니와 협업해 ‘미키마우스’와 ‘미니마우스’ AR 이모지를 제공한다. 사용자는 ‘갤럭시 S9 및 S9+’ 카메라에서 디즈니 캐릭터 AR 이모지를 다운받을 수 있다. 사용자는 눈, 코, 입 등 100개 이상의 특징을 파악해 나를 따라하는 ‘미키마우스’, ‘미니마우스’를 활용해 친구나 가족과 커뮤니케이션할 수 있다. 디즈니 존 러브 상무는 “새로운 디지털 플랫폼인 갤럭시 S9, S9+의 AR 이모지를 통해 소비자들이 일상생활에서 디즈니 캐릭터를 즐길 수 있고 새로운 세대의 팬들을 유치할 것”이라고 말했다.

삼성전자는 연결 기준으로 분기 최대 실적인 매출 60.56조원, 영업이익 15.64조원의 2018년 1분기 실적을 발표했다. 1분기에는 메모리 시황 호조 지속과 무선 플래그십 스마트폰 판매 증가로 전년 동기 대비 매출은 약 20% 증가했다. 영업이익은 5.74조원이 증가했고, 영업이익율도 6.2% 상승한 25.8%를 기록했다. 부품 사업은 메모리 사업이 서버 수요 강세 등 양호한 시황이 지속된 가운데, 플래그십 스마트폰용 시스템LSI 판매 확대, 파운드리 사업의 가상화폐 채굴칩 수요 증가로 반도체 부문 실적은 증가했으나, 플렉시블 OLED 거래선 수요 감소와 LCD 경쟁 심화로 디스플레이 부문 실적이 하락했다.
