Qiu Long, President of Huawei's IT Server Product Line, stated, "Enterprise digital transformation is increasingly "It is taking place across more industries and deepening," he said, adding that "service workloads are becoming increasingly diversified and accompanied by faster changes than ever before." He continued, "These factors are making increased computing efficiency and agility a new driving force for innovation in the computing industry," and noted, "Our newly launched hybrid cloud solution for Microsoft Azure Stack resolves issues arising from the differences between private and public cloud architectures and significantly enhances computing efficiency and agility between public and private clouds."
"Moving forward, we plan to continue collaborating with industry partners to continuously improve hybrid cloud efficiency and agility, and jointly provide innovative solutions that help meet computing and regulatory requirements for handling diverse workloads such as IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence. Together with our partners, we will support our customers in accelerating their digital transformation," the company explained.
Huawei's hybrid cloud solution, released for Microsoft Azure Stack, provides the same application model, self-service portal, and APIs as the public Azure cloud. Thanks to Azure's rich resources and innovative services being installed on-site, this solution ensures Azure consistency with regional Azure Stacks.
Accordingly, it resolves customer issues arising from data sovereignty, latency, and connectivity problems, and supports overall digital transformation projects. This solution provides a robust hardware platform built with Huawei's rugged FusionServer V5 servers and CloudEngine switches. Powered by Intel® Xeon® Scalability processors, FusionServer supports up to 16 data drives. Huawei's high-performance NVMe SSDs provide a massive cache. Thanks to these features, FusionServer can improve overall system performance.
CloudEngine provides a 10G/25GE conversion network for low-latency, heatless, and single-connection installations based on ports for fewer connectors, cables, and simpler O&M. Additionally, this solution offers Huawei's eSight for efficient and unified server and switch management. Huawei's FDM system intelligently and automatically diagnoses and analyzes CPU, memory, and PCIe card failures, and proposes processing methods for more efficient O&M.
This hybrid cloud solution, released for Microsoft Azure Stack, is expected to open up the industry. Customers will be able to leverage the collective expertise of the industry's two giants. Microsoft's software is expected to enhance hybrid cloud policies, thereby enabling the flexibility of cloud technology while upholding data sovereignty and compliance policies. Based on its performance and computing management track record, Huawei supports customers in becoming more agile and efficient enterprises.
