NXP Semiconductors and Wayv have announced the Wayv Adventurer, the world's first battery-operated portable cooking device. With a small, lightweight, and compact design, this product was developed to allow people to easily cook food anytime, anywhere.

It can be utilized to meet various needs requiring food preparation outdoors, such as quickly and easily heating nutritious meals or supporting disaster victims or soldiers at garrisons or bases. It is ideal for preparing meals during outdoor leisure activities like camping, hiking, and fishing.

This new device demonstrates NXP’s leading position in the smart cooking market, realizing new product innovations through solid-state RF technology. NXP RF technology is a maximum power transfer technology that delivers controllable energy to food while reducing wasted heat. It is also a technology for the environment.

NXP's RF module solution delivers 250W of RF power with high efficiency. Furthermore, in conjunction with Wavei's RF antennas, it supports excellent cavity efficiency for effective power transfer to devices. For battery-operated devices, achieving the highest possible efficiency is critical due to limited power usage. NXP's RF module solution provides high-efficiency power in combination with Wavei's high-efficiency antenna solutions.

Wavei's antenna solution allows for multiple output cycles before charging. This solution includes NXP's MKW40Z Kinetis microcontroller (MCU) and combines a 2.4 GHz signal generator, MMA25312 pre-driver, MHT1008 driver, and MHT1004 final stage amplifier into a single integrated closed-loop module.
