Pay easily and quickly with Samsung Pay without running a separate application.
Chinese consumers can now use both Samsung Pay and Alipay on the Galaxy S7.

Samsung Electronics' mobile payment service 'Samsung Pay' has signed a strategic partnership with China's largest mobile payment platform 'Alipay'.

Through this, Chinese 'Samsung Pay' users will be able to use 'Alipay' payments on 'Samsung Pay' starting on the 20th (local time).

Samsung Pay, which boasts convenient usability, strong security, and excellent versatility, can be easily and conveniently used in most stores in China that currently have credit card payment terminals installed.

Through this collaboration, Samsung Pay can now manage and use not only existing credit and debit cards, but also Alipay accounts. By simply registering an Alipay account with Samsung Pay, users can make payments more easily and conveniently.

When you swipe up from the bottom of the screen, such as the lock screen or home screen of your smartphone, 'Samsung Pay' is launched, and a QR code for 'Alipay' payment appears immediately, just like with a conventional credit card. This allows users to make payments quickly and easily without having to run a separate application.

Samsung Pay and Alipay also promised to work together to develop the Chinese mobile payment market in the future.

Alipay is China's largest mobile payment platform. Launched in 2004, it has over 450 million users worldwide and has partnered with over 200 financial institutions.

Alipay can be used not only for online payments but also for a wide range of other applications, including taxi and hotel reservations, movie tickets, remittances, and utility bill payments. It is also expanding its use to offline stores. Currently, Alipay can be used in approximately 600,000 offline stores in China.
