LG Electronics uses magnetic fields to levitate and emits uniform sound quality in a 360-degree direction
Equipped with conveniences such as wireless charging and waterproofing, it meets IPX7 waterproof rating, so it can be used even in the bathtub.

LG Electronics will unveil a Bluetooth speaker that plays music while floating in the air at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, USA, early next year.

The LG Bluetooth speaker (model name: PJ9) emits sound in a 360-degree direction in the air. LG Electronics placed an electromagnet inside the woofer station, which is placed underneath the speaker, and levitated the speaker by utilizing the property of magnets repelling each other with like poles. LG Electronics plans to target the Bluetooth speaker market with its eye-catching operation method and design.

This product features a simple design. It consists of an egg-shaped oval Bluetooth speaker and a wide, cylindrical woofer station that elevates the speaker. The exterior of the speaker features a diagonal grille modeled after an aircraft turbine engine, visually representing powerful sound. The matte white color exudes a sense of luxury.

Excellent convenience is also a strong point. This product operates while suspended in the air, and descends to the center of the woofer station when the battery runs out. It starts charging wirelessly immediately without any separate operation. With a single charge providing up to 10 hours of use, it is sufficient for enjoying outdoor activities.

This product meets the IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it does not leak for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter. Users can enjoy music without worry even in places where water may splash, such as swimming pools, bathtubs, and valleys.

The sound quality is also excellent. It projects music in a 360-degree direction, allowing users to enjoy uniform sound quality from any angle. Two passive radiators are also incorporated to produce mid-low frequencies. The woofer station adds deeper bass, creating a magnificent sound.
