Banking services available through Giga Genie

KT and Woori Bank announced that they will sign a 'comprehensive business agreement including provision of AI-based financial secretary service' to enhance customer convenience based on each company's specialized areas of ICT and financial services at KT's Gwanghwamun East building in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to pursue comprehensive cooperation on various financial platform services that combine finance and ICT, such as ▲ provision of ‘Giga Genie artificial intelligence (AI) financial services’ and various financial benefits to customers who use them, ▲ utilization of credit rating models based on wired and wireless communication big data, and ▲ O2O affiliate marketing.

In particular, the 'Giga Genie Artificial Intelligence (AI) Banking Service' to be introduced by the two companies is a service that utilizes the special features of Giga Genie, which is provided along with the TV screen, to enable bank account inquiry, account transfer, utility bill payment, exchange rate inquiry, and product information.

Kim Hyung-wook, head of KT's Platform Business Planning Division, said, "Through cooperation between our two companies, we will open new horizons in the domestic financial platform market, including developing new business areas utilizing Korea's best voice AI financial secretary service in the financial sector and the largest domestic big data based on wired and wireless communication products."
