Analog Devices announces the Power by Linear™ LT8361, a current mode, 2MHz multitopology DC/DC converter with an integrated 2A, 100V switch. The LT8361 operates over an input voltage range of 2.8V to 60V, making it suitable for a wide range of input power sources, from a single-cell Li-Ion battery to multicell battery stacks, automotive inputs, telecom power supplies, and industrial power rails.
The LT8361 can be configured as a boost, SEPIC, or inverting converter. Its switching frequency is programmable between 300kHz and 2MHz, allowing designers to minimize external component size and avoid critical frequency bands such as AM radio. It delivers efficiency exceeding 90% at a 2MHz switching frequency.
Burst Mode® operation reduces standby current consumption to 9µA while keeping output ripple below 15mVP-P. Available in a small MSOP-16E package, its high switching frequency allows use with small external components, ensuring a very compact footprint while minimizing solution cost.
LT8361 2A 100V Switch-Integrated Current-Mode 2MHz Multi-Topology DC/DC Converter
The LT8361 delivers over 95% efficiency with a 375mΩ power switch and minimizes EMI concerns by supporting spread spectrum frequency modulation. A single feedback resistor sets the output voltage, regardless of whether the output is positive or negative, minimizing pin count. Additional features include external synchronization, programmable UVLO (undervoltage lockout), frequency foldback, and programmable soft-start.
The LT8361EMSE is available in the MSOP-16E (4 pins removed for high voltage) package. An industrial temperature (-40°C to 125°C) version, the LT8361IMSE, and a high temperature (-40°C to 150°C) version, the LT8361HMSE, are also available.

Synchronous operation demonstrates efficiency exceeding 94% on both channels at maximum current load.
